Self Poppet Wish Spell

Supplies:

A shirt of yours you can cut up.

A photo of yourself.

Thread (any color) and a needle.

A few of your favorite small stones.

Herbs: Rosemary, White Sage and Dandelion

Pins, scissors and chalk

Small pieces of paper and pen

Anything else personal you’d like to use for stuffing for your poppet.

Make your poppet.

1. Cut out two pieces of fabric from your shirt, a little bigger than the size of the poppet you would like to make.

2. Put the pieces of material together, then trace your poppet (like a gingerbread man) using chalk on the fabric. Make it a little bigger than you want it, to allow for seam allowance.

3. Cut out your poppet.

4. Sew the two pieces together with thread along the outside of the poppet, leaving a small hole.

5. Fill your poppet through the hole with herbs, stones, a photo of yourself and anything else personal you’d like to be in your poppet.

6. Sew the hole together.

Next, you will need to have a bond (a tag lock) between you and your poppet.

Hold your poppet in your hands close to your heart and say out loud or to yourself:

“Little poppet, I made you with love and light and now you will live.

I will give you my name (Your name).

My body is your body. My heart your heart

Our blood is the same. I breathe breath into you.

You and I are forever one. As long as it harms none, so mote it be!”

Now your poppet is ready to use.

Anytime you have a wish, write it on a small piece of paper and pin it to your poppet using the pins.

Leave the paper on your poppet until it comes true.

Once the wish comes true, burn the paper and give back to mother earth.

You can keep your poppet anywhere you’d like.

Just use your imagination, the wishes are unlimited!
