Too Much Social Media

Updated: Feb 20, 2023

Do you ever feel like you have had enough of people?

Like you just cant take another social gathering or people start to really irritate you?

So you stop answering phone calls and emails. Shutting yourself in the house where no one can touch you (energetically).

If you do have to go out into public, you cover up as much as possible, maybe no one will recognize you?!

You just feel zapped of all your life force and being around anyone else at the moment would just push you over the edge!

Yep, I feel ya! I get that way often.

I believe that is my Body, Mind & Spirits way of saying YOU NEED A FUCKING BREAK!!

I have found that taking a step back from the world for 1 day or 7, lol, really helps me recharge and renew.

Because I loveee people and being around others, but if I'm not taking care of my Body, Mind & Spirit, I'm no good to anyone.

I start to feel overwhelmed by others, causing me to shut down longer than Id like to.

So I really cant blame anyone else, it is my responsibility to find time weekly to recharge, so that i don;t get pushed to the edge!

Honestly, I thought I was doing that. Until....

I realized that even though, I was taking a break from gatherings, appointments or even leaving my house, I was still feeling so drained!

Drained and refreshed at the same time??!! How the hell does that work??

So like I always do, when I am having a difficult time figuring out my own shit, I mediate and ask my Spirit Guides.

This is what they told me today, "You are disconnected but also connected. You need to disconnect completely".

My response, "WHAT! Please explain further." And they did.

Apparently, when you disconnect from the world to recharge, that includes Social Media.

Because even though your not coming in contact with anyone on physical level, by going on social media, even just scrolling, you are connecting on a energetically level. The disconnect its supposed to recharge you, that cant happen 100% if your still connected to anyone physical or energetically.

"OHHHHHHHH! Ok I get it now". I said to myself.

I asked my Spirit Guides for their guidance on how to do this, what will truly benefit my Body, Mind & Spirit.

They gave me a plan!

Basically, it looks like this.

  • I only go on my social media 2 times a week.

  • I have scheduled 2 days each week to go on my social media that work for me, for the next 3 months. (It takes 90 days to change a habit or form a new one)

  • The other days in the week, I focus on other things:

  • Reading and listening to books

  • Writing in my Blog

  • Spending time with husband and kids (sometimes, lol)

  • Spending time in Mother Earth

  • Online School (as long as its not associated with socializing)

  • Going for a walk

  • Crafting

  • Board Games

  • Drinking Tea

  • Doing readings on myself

  • Watching my fav. movies

  • Meditation

  • Exercise

  • Journal

  • Self Discovery

  • and whatever else my Soul desires.

I love social media, I am so grateful for having access to it on a regular basis. Some of my closest friends live across the word from me, so its a great tool to keep in touch. But with everything in life, moderation is key. So I'm gonna try this plan for the next 3 months and see how I feel. Will it really make a difference? We will see!

If you are thinking about doing a plan like this for yourself, I encourage you to go within and ask your Spirit Guides to show you, what plan will be best for your life. We are all on our own individual paths, what works for me, may not work for you. That's ok! You can always tailor the plan to suite your Body, Mind & Spirit needs!

If you do try it, please report back to this blog and let me know how its going!

I will continue to blog my experience. So make sure you join my blog too keep updated!

Love and Light,

Crystal Le Fay
